Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United beat Benifica 2-0 at Old Trafford as they March towards Qualifying for the Champions League last 16.
Manchester United missed their chance to go ahead in the first quater of the game as Benefica Rookie goal keeper Svilar saved Martial’s penalty.
At the stroke of half time, Manchester United opened the scoring as Nemanja Matic shot hit the bar and then then bounced off the young goal keeper Svilar who scored an own goal.
in the 75th minute, Martial was replaced by Rashford whose instant impact won Manchester United a Penalty having been on the pitch for 2 minutes. Daley Blind took responsibility of the spot kick and sends Svilar the wrong way and fires the penalty into the middle of the goal!
2-0 it ended at Old Trafford and Manchester United
