Fc Barcelona finally secured the signature of their long term pursuit of former Liverpool midfielder Coutinho. The Brazilian super star was signed for a fee of £146m from Liverpool to become the 3rd most expensive signing in world football.
Liverpool manager Jorgen Klopp earlier in conference stated that the club did all they could to keep Coutinho at the club but the Brazillian persisted on a move to the Catalan giants. Liverpool in the past have sold Javier Mascherano, Luiz Suarez to Barcelona.
Coutinho on social media stated that Liverpool did all they could to keep him, but his move to Barcelona was a dream come true. He also stated that he cant imagine playing alonside super stars like Messi, Suarez, Pique, Bousquets and Iniesta. Fc Barcelona made it clear that their latest recruitment isn’t a replacement for Neymar but a long term replacement for club captain Iniesta.
