Peru booked the final 32nd ticket to Russia 2018 after beating New Zealand 2-0. New Zealand traveled to the Estadio Nacional hoping for a result after a goalless 1st leg at home but the 40,000 capacity crowd backed the home team as they qualify for their first World Cup since 1982.
Jefferson Farfan opened the scoring for the home side in the 28th minute and Christian Ramos doubled the lead to secure a 2-0 Aggregate. As a result of their lengthy qualification, the President promised a National holiday for Peruvians. Congratulations! to all 32 Nations that qualified for the Grand Finale in Russia come 2018.
